Forms, landlords, schools and expense systems often ask for a PDF, even when what you have is a photo. Converting a JPG to PDF takes a few seconds.
Convert JPG to PDF online
- Open the JPG to PDF converter.
- Drop your JPG files onto the page, or click Choose Files. Add up to 20 at once.
- Click Convert and download your PDFs.
Each image becomes its own PDF. No account is needed, and your files are deleted automatically after conversion.
Have a PNG or an iPhone photo instead? Use PNG to PDF or HEIC to PDF.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the photo in the Photos app and tap Share.
- Tap Print.
- Spread two fingers on the preview to open it full screen, then tap Share again and choose Save to Files.
On Android
- Open the photo and choose Share › Print (or ⋮ › Print).
- Set the printer to Save as PDF.
- Tap the PDF button and choose where to save it.
On Windows
- Right-click the JPG and choose Print.
- Pick Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer.
- Click Print and choose where to save the PDF.
The print method can add white margins or crop the photo to the paper size. The online converter keeps the whole image at its original size.
Tips for scans and receipts
- Shoot in good light, straight above the page, so the text is sharp and there are no shadows.
- Crop before converting. Remove the table or floor around the page so the PDF shows only the document.
- Keep the file small for email. A 12-megapixel phone photo is far more than a receipt needs. If an upload form has a size limit, open the settings next to the format before converting and lower the image quality, or set a smaller width.
- Need the text, not just a picture? Run the PDF through the OCR converter so you can search and copy it.
