What's new at RunConvert

Launched RunConvert V3 - a fully rebuilt platform with a new REST API, real-time job tracking, multi-engine support, and a redesigned frontend. The V3 architecture separates conversion work into Jobs and Tasks, making large batch operations more reliable and transparent. Guests can convert without signing in, and subscribed users get unlimited daily conversions with priority processing.

Shipped a fully documented REST API built around a Jobs/Tasks model. Create a job, attach import and convert tasks, then export results - all via straightforward HTTP calls. The API supports URL, upload, base64, and S3 as both import and export sources. Every response includes structured status fields (waiting, processing, finished, error) so integrations can react precisely to each state.

Added a full webhook system for event-driven integrations. Register a URL and choose which events to receive: job.created, job.processing, job.finished, job.error, task.finished, and task.error. Webhooks can be paused, updated, or pinged for delivery testing at any time. Ideal for serverless workflows that need to react to conversion results without polling.

Integrated OnlyOffice as a new document conversion engine alongside LibreOffice, delivering improved fidelity for complex Office documents including DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX. Both engines run in parallel - the preferred engine can be selected per-task via the preferred_engine field on convert tasks, giving developers fine-grained control over output quality vs. speed.

Added GET /v3/operations for discovering what's possible before building a job. Query by input format to see all supported outputs, filter by category, or check a specific input→output pair for available engines, options, and credit costs. This endpoint is public and requires no authentication, making it easy to build dynamic format selectors.

Published a full API reference at /docs covering every endpoint - jobs, tasks, import sources, export destinations, webhooks, error codes, rate limits, and SDK examples in curl, Node.js, Go, Python, Ruby, Rust, .NET, and PHP. Docs are always in sync with the live API.

Launched the V2 user interface, completely redesigned for a more intuitive and modern experience.
