What is an XML file?

What is a DOTM file?
The DOTM format is a Microsoft Word Open XML Macro-Enabled Template introduced with Microsoft Office 2007. For non-Microsoft environments, LibreOffice Writer and WPS Office can open DOTM files and render the content, though VBA macro execution compatibility may vary significantly compared to the native Microsoft engine.
